Finale

I still am confused or maybe just not as knowledgable as I want to be with the whole Army ranking procedures, strategies and concepts, but there is so much more to learn. I could break down each level of ranking, how he/she gets to be that ranking, the lingo from different forces (army, navy, air force..etc.), and the specific jobs of what each person does. I would also like to know more about how they live, why they want to go to the armed forces, what is their days like, how is school on the base and so on. I am interested in all of these aspects, especially since we have been at war and are still having a war go on right now. There is so much information to learn and find out, therefore this blog could keep going for a long long time!

Surviving

Now that I have got some background information on rankings, I figured that I would like to know what armed forces do to train and how the results help out in moving up in rankings. I looked on Amazon and found a short book called U.S. Army Fitness Training Handbook. This short book includes how the impact of physical fitness has an impact on his/her combat readiness. Not only does the physical fitness help the soldier get to the next level of ranking, but it helps make a person's quality of life better and improve his/her productivity. This book talks about cardio endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility.

the next step

After looking on the Internet and asking a friend some questions, I moved onto a book called Military and Political Leaders & Success : 55 Top Military and Political Leaders & How They Achieved Greatness by Investor's Business Daily. This book talks about the stories of military leaders that succeeded. It also talks and gives ideas on leadership styles and strategies to become such a leader. A couple people that this book talks about are Winston Churchill, dealing with World War II and and Nazi tide and Norman Schwartzkopf who encouraged troops to a great success during ground assaults in the United States. I felt that I had a good start on the beginning steps of some rankings, so I was interested to see how some people go to their level of ranking and what they had to go through.
